| States Mr J. E. Turner of Halifax Co Va is
a contractor with this Dept for supplying Clarksville shops with timber
&c. Has just heard that this mill has been impressed by
{Richmond &} Danville RR. Asks that an
order for its release be obtained from the War Dept at once. |

| Jan 6/65 I do not exactly understand this.
No authority has been given to Danville RR Co. unless they enjoy it from
their Charter from the State. It has occurred to me that possibly QMR
Dept may have impressed with a view to supplying the Danville RR & hence
