| I am in want of 15 or 20 Machinists, 6 or
8 Blacksmiths, three Moulders, and any other Mechanics I can get. Our
trains are running very irregularly, and the Government transportation
is very much delayed for the want of Mechanics. Please send us all you
can find. We are paying $10.00 per day, and would go to $12 or $15.00
for Machinists or Moulders. Unless we get some men we shall soon be
ashore. Please lend us a helping hand. |
