We will not let any more
freight go East. we want every car you can send here to send troops to
Corinth. Send them as rapidly as possible. Get our rolling stock
west as fast as you can. |
Provost Marshall here is granting papers to citizens to
go to Corinth. There is some machinery in cars at Junction to go to
Chattanooga for Rolling Mill. May on send that or not, clear Corinth
of empty cars & keep a good switch engine there. You can get along
without it. Your regular runners must sleep.
