In obedience to an order of
Col. B. D. Harmon Commander of this Post, "to stop all trains in
travel and appropriate as many of the engines as may be
necessary" you are hereby directed to detail your engine from its
present train for the purpose of assistance in the transportation of
two artillery batteries hence to Corinth under the orders of Gen.
Beauregard. |
As the commander of the Post
will undoubtedly exert sufficient force to compel obedience to this
order, you are of course relieved from all responsibility in the
present crises. |
