| Dear Sir, |
| I inclose ap for Services, in
accordance with instructions received yesterday. The Agents on the {Memphis
&} Charleston Road were stopped by the Military Committee
on the 11th Sept. and did not resume their duties until the 19th Oct:
when instructed so to do by Capt Blake. I don't know whether it would
be right to make charge for the time we were not acting, although we
held ourselves to act at any time, and have not don??. Mr. Richmond in
his note does not say whether we are to stop acting as agents on the
road or not. |
