Dr Sir, |
I saw a considerable lot of
Guns, arrived here last Sunday, by Express. I saw these guns, in the
Express office to day (Thursday Evening) ought not the ordinance
department to act with more promptness when we need guns in the army
so bad. We ought to have a good ordinance officer here. Mr. Hurt who
is now acting has no appointment. We lost the most valuable machine
shop we had in the city last night by fire it is a severe loss. |
