Macon Ga. February. 20th 1863

Messrs J. E. Tooke & Bro.
Marshallville Ga.

Gentlemen,
   I am informed by the Agent of the South Western R/R Co. that a train can be sent down to Marshallville for your wood on this day fortnight (Friday). Please notify me at once on receipt of this letter whether you will be ready to deliver the wood on that day, so that the train may not go down uselessly.
   I wish also to say that the wood already received from you is much of it too large, and therefore I must request you to have the fault corrected in the cutting of the wood in the future.
{J. W. Mallet Capt.
Supt. C. S. Laboratories}
