   List of men asked for by the Manassas Gap RR Co to work at their shops to build and repair engines & cars for the use of the Confederate States Government:
G. F. Crumbley, Black Smith, Camp near Drurys Bluff Company F. 53 Regiment Georgia, Bryonds Brigade Longstreets Corps
care of Lieut A Edwards, Gen Kershaws Division Ordnance Train, Richmond, Va.
   I certify that the above named man is necessary to build and repair engines and cars for the use of the Confederate States Government at the Shops of the Manassas Gap RR Co at Greensboro N. C. and that this man is a skilled mechanic for the business.
   If he is detailed and should he leave the employment of the Company or be discharged I will report him to the nearest conscript or enrolling officer.

Respy retd to QMG The Manassas Gap RR Co rented on Saturday last four locomotives and forty cars to Piedmont road and also agreed to do the repairs of that road at its shops in Greensboro. Details are absolutely necessary to carry on this work & if not made the Piedmont road will suffer severely. This detail is particularly requested.
