| Yours of 10th was handed to me this
morning by Mr Beard |
| I have at present on hand some fifty or
sixty tons Pig Iron belonging to the C. S. Ordnance Dept. Your course
to get the Iron would be to get or make rather a requisition on
Col J Gorgas Chf Ordnance for what metal you wish get it approved by
him & I will take pleasure in furnishing it to you I have also a
much larger quantity of Blooms on hand than Pig Metal & think you
would have no difficulty in getting them. |
