| I am instructed by Major Genl.
Magruder to direct you to have sent to this place a Locomotive and
tender in good serviceable condition as soon as possible and with the
utmost dispatch. |
| You will cause it to be sent
over the Texas & N. O. R. R. to Beaumont and from thence to this place
by Steamboat. |
| This Locomotive being required
as a military necessity, you are urgently requested to use every
exertion to accomplish its speedy arrival. |
