protect line of P. & W. R. R. {Petersburg RR}
Have recalled them. Available force will be about three thousand.
Unless the railroads are given up, 4 regts off on that duty. All the
wagon trains of Hoke, Pickett & Martin now between here & Weldon
{about 65 miles}. |
