Galveston, Dec. 2, 1861

Gen. Hebert

Sir,
We are greatly annoyed on the departure and arrival of trains at Galveston, Virginia Point & Simm's Bayou by soldiers rushing on to the Platforms and Cars.
I request that you place a Guard of 4 or 6 men to remedy the delay and annoyance.
Say a Guard at Gal daily from 3:15 P. M. to 8 P. M. which will include the arrival and departure of two trains.
It is almost impossible to get out freight or passengers at Va Point.
Very Respy
