| I have the honor to report
that Captain Cossey of the Engineers received instructions from this
office to put the Eastern Texas RR in running order for the present as
far as five miles before Taylor Bayou, the trains to be run by mules
until the entire road is connected with the H. & N. O. RR. |
| I therefore respectfully
request that the Qr Masters Dept be ordered to pay the expenses of said
repairs and appoint an agent for that purpose on whom Capt Cossey in
charge of the work could make his requisitions. |
