| Mr. N. P. Cablett of
Staunton, Va., who has a contract to furnish lime to the Engineer
Department writes me that he has about 500 barrels ready for shipment {if
each barrel weighed 100 pounds, this would require over 3 cars} but is unable to get transportation for it to this city. Will you
please direct your agent at Fishersville to receive it for that
purpose if practicable & forward it without delay as it is needed. |
