| Your letter of the
6th Inst. in reference to your operations on the Rail roads of
Mississippi has been received. The present duties of Capt. Grant may
prevent him from cooperating with you, but the Bureau is informed that
Lieut. J. W. Glenn Engr Corps. P. A. C. S. has been ordered by the
commanding General of the Department to remove, so far as possible,
the iron & rolling stock from the abandoned Rail roads of
Mississippi. *** |
