   Your letter of 9th inst forwarding Lt. Blackford's Report on the proposed R. R. Bridge over the Cape Fear River at Wilmington, has been recd. Please inform the Bureau further whether the Roads, which the bridge is designed to connect are of the same or of different gauges {the Wilmington & Manchester was 5', while the Wilmington & Weldon and the Wilmington, Charlotte & Rutherford were 4'8"} and in the event that they construction is resolved on, what amount of assistance in labor or funds is required by the companies for the execution of the work.
