| Please urge Mr. Geo. Haslehurst to come on
up as soon as possible; with a view to assisting with the working
force at his command the Danville R. R. Extension {the
Piedmont RR}. He has offered to assist any work specially
desired by Col. Gilmer. Mr. Harvie, President of the Road is anxiously
waiting to hear from Mr. Haslehurst. Several letters & telegrams
have been already sent but without effect, and it is presumed have
miscarried. |
