| It would not seem
judicious with the limited supply of labor and materials at our
command to attempt the construction of this road before the repairs of
the Montgomery & West Point Road are completed and it may well be
doubted whether in any event it would be expedient to expend upon the
construction of this road a large amount of labor now and other
materials so pressingly needed for the repairs of the main track lines
of the Confederacy. |
