   I am informed by telegram from Mr. C. G. Talcott supdt &c that iron is arriving much more rapidly than, for want of sills, it can be laid. You will please therefore pick out all the sound sills that you find for the present on the {Richmond &} York River R. R. and forward them as promptly as possible until further orders.
