| I have received your communications of the
7th & 24th ultimo. on the subject of connecting the Florida Rail
Roads with those of Georgia, or with the Apalachicola river. Before
action is taken your views will be fully presented to the Hon. Sec. of
War. |
| It may be proper for us to state to you
that it is not probable the connection will be a necessity for
supplying provisions, forage &c. to our armies, but it may become
such for other reasons. |
