Sec'y of War, & in the absence of Col. Rives actg Chf Eng Bureau,
I resp'y request that the 1st Reg't Engr Troops Col. T. M. R. Talcott
Comd'g with the exception of the pontoon companies on duty at Chaffins
& Drewrys Bluff, may be ordered to report without delay at
Richmond in readiness to move without delay to such points on the {Richmond
&} Danville R. R. as may be designated on their arrival
here. |
