| I have to acknowledge the receipt of yours
of April 1st enclosing invoices in receipt to accompany your returns
for 1st quarter 1864 & reply of letter from Maj. S. W. Pressman in
regard to the duplication of bridges between Atlanta & Chattanooga
{on the Western & Atlantic RR}. |
| You will please assist the commanding
General of the Army of Tenn. as far as you are able in the matter of
bridges. Funds will be furnished you when called for. |
