| I respy request that you will order twelve
negroes under one overseer to report at the {Virginia}
Central R Rd depot to load and unload the R Rd iron sent from
Gordonsville for the Piedmont R. Rd. |
| I have sent hands from the Pontoon yard
but as I have need of them on the Tree Hill Bridge, I would be glad to
have them replaced by negroes if possible, & at your earliest
convenience. |
