Capt. E. T. D. Myers
Engr. in charge Piedmont R. Rd.
Danville, Va.

Captain,
Your letter of the 30th ulto. asking for one thousand feet of 3/4 round for bolts, and stating that you will answer as early as possible inquiries in regard to the progress of the Road under your charge has been received.
The "Tredegar Works" will be authorized and directed to furnish the iron you need, with the understanding that the Piedmont Rail Road Company is to pay for it. Your explanation of the temporary delay in responding to the inquiry concerning the progress of the Road is satisfactory.
Very Respectfully Yours
A. L. Rives
