| I have to acknowledge your letter of 18th
Inst. with its enclosure from Capt E. T. D. Myers and from Messrs Ed
Wilkes & Bro in reference to the delay experienced in procuring a supply
of iron for the track of the Piedmont R. R. The matter has been fully
discussed by Col C. F. M. Garnett, Lt Col F. W. Sims & myself and
definite conclusions arrived at to be submitted to you at once by Col
Garnett, which it is hoped and believed will attain the desired end with
the least possible delay. |
