Supt. R. & D. R. Rd. requesting that the hands employed by that
road to cut wood be exempted &c. |
| "Respectfully referred to Lieut. Col.
W. H. Stevens with the request that the detail be made, if in his
judgment it be of sufficient importance to the public interests &
necessary to maintain transportation on the R. &. D. R. Rd.
Special attention is called to the mission of the ??? of negroes. He
will please to report his action to this Bureau." |
