to Lt Col St John, Chf of the Nitre & Mining Bureau. In the
present condition of the country and in view of the impossibility of
procuring iron for the track even should the grading of the road
completed, the Bureau does not feel justified in recommending that
iron for the purpose specified be provided by the Government. |
