   I respectfully request that the Tredegar Iron Works may be furnished with sufficient iron to roll Thirty five thousand two hundred and sixty pounds (35260 lbs) of bolts for the bridges of the Hiawassee River on the E Tenn & Georgia RR {East Tennessee & Georgia RR}, according to the following bill
20 Bolts 21' 6" in length 1 1/4{inches diameter} iron
144 " 21' 7" " " 1 3/4 "
12 " 21' 7" " " 1 1/2 "
12 " 21' 6" " " 1 1/4 "
72 " 18' 6" " " 1 1/4 "
   In futures, we will endeavor to dispense with the use of iron by adopting the lattice trus as far as practicable, knowing the difficulties of obtaining it at the present time.
