| Your letter of the 3d inst. enclosing
estimate of funds required for the month of January 1863, and your
statement in regard to employees detailed from the army and their pay,
and also the proposition of Mr. A. L. Maxwell for building bridge on
Clinch river has been received. |
| Forty thousand Dollars (140,000) had been
placed to the credit of Capt. Jno. M. Robinson for the construction of
the bridge over Clinch river, under the belief that you would be ordered
further west, but, as you still remain in the Dept. of East Tenn., this
amount will be transferred to your credit by Capt. Robinson, as soon as
the order to that effect can reach him. |
