This will be handed you by Mr Jas. Salisbury, who goes to
Jackson to collect tools, property, &c for the purpose of aiding in the
building of the Rail Road Bridge across Pearl River
{Southern (of Mississippi) RR}. I am told
that the citizens in and around Jackson have collected a large number of
picks, spades and shovels belonging to the Government. Please aid in
collecting them as far as possible and turn them over to Mr. Salisbury. |
