| By direction of the Sect of
War you are hereby appointed Military Supt of the E. Tenn & Va Rail
Road, which has been taken use of for the use of the Govt. You will
therefore assume the entire control and management of the Road and see
that the same is worked for the use & benefit of the Government. |
| Should any property belonging
to said Road be consumed, you will please keep an accurate account of
the same to include it in an inventory to be taken by a Road of officers
appointed for that purpose. |
| Can you recommend the names of
officer suitable for this purpose & if so at what point had they best be
convened. The Board will be composed of three members. |
