XX No cotton will be sent from Matagorda, Texana or the vicinity of either place to Corpus Christi for the present. All the Gov't cotton now at either of the above named places will be sent to Lavaca, and by rail to Victoria {San Antonio & Mexican Gulf RR}, and for the purpose, the steamers Lucy Gwin, Cora and Alamo will be employed.
   Should more transportation be necessary to send forward the cotton immediately, it will be impressed in accordance with the Impressment Act.
