| In reply to your letter of the
16th inst I am directed by the Lt. Gen. Comdg. to authorize the Texas &
N. O. RR Co to build a Pile bridge across the Sabine at or near Marge.
It is to be distinctly understood that this does not authorize any claim
against the Confederate Government should it be necessary to destroy the
bridge at some future time for the purpose of navigation or any other
cause. |
