Respectfully referred to Col Rives Actg Chief of Engr Bureau for his
information. The impression appears to be very general that Maj.
Meriwether is a superior business man. Such is the opinion of Col D B
Harris, Engineer, who knew something of his qualifications when they
were both in service in the west. |
