| I am directed by the Lt Genl
Comdg to instruct you to furnish Maj G. A. Mayo Chf of Ordnance twenty
five wagons at once to be used in transporting ordnance stores to the RR
Depot. They will report immediately to Lt Featherstone at the Depot
ordnance office, near the Depot of the SRR
{Southern (of Mississippi) RR} Company. He also directs that you
will have a train of eighteen cars ready to receive the stores as fast
as they are hauled to the depot. The train will leave for Vicksburg
about one o'clock tonight. You will have a passenger car attached for
his own use. |
