   Genl Maury directs me to say, that it has become necessary for the iron of the Ala & Florida {(of Florida)} rail road to be taken up, and applied to the replacement of the iron of the Montgomery & W. P. rail road, recently destroyed by the enemy.
   Mr. S. G. Jones is the appointed Agent to carry the above into execution, and the Major Genl comdg directs that you afford him & his employees, every protection, and give them every assistance you can, while engaged in the work.
