Dear Sir, |

I am directed by the Lieut General Comdg to say it will
give him pleasure to have a Passport issued for yourself, & anyone you
may select to go through the lines on the business to which you referred
this morning. He therefore requests that you will decide whether the
passport shall be for yourself or for Mr Goodman. He cannot grant
passports for more than one person from your road for this mission. |
