I am directed by Lt Genl Taylor to instruct you to credit
any hands the slave owners of your district may hire to the R. R. Co. as
tho' regularly impressed; and, in cases where any on person hires to the
R. R. Co. the full number he is required to furnish for Govt works,
under the Impressment Act, you will consider him as having furnished his
quota & not subject to further impressments. |
