I have just learned that Saunders Company of Bridge
builders has been ordered to Georgia. |
|
I had supposed this company had been sent to open
communication between Montgomery and Columbus, and would be returned to
this Department. |
|
The Company was organized in this Department and belongs
properly thereto. It is the only force upon which I can rely to keep up
the extensive and important Railway lines in my department. In fact I
cannot get along without it. I have therefore to urge its immediate
return to Demopolis with orders to report to me. |
