| I have sent you per Rail Road Three Bbls
Oil which is all that was found in the Light Vessels at this place.
There are about five Bbls at Fort Macon for which I shall send Bbls from
this place and have shipped to you without delay. |
| This oil is all of the first quality of
Sperm and will answer for the finest kind of machinery; if it is
intended to be used for Rail roads, I would suggest the propriety of
mixing it with porpoise oil which can be purchased for about one third
of the value of Sperm Oil. |
| A few bbls of porpoise oil can be obtained
at this place. ***** |
