March 22 Fore Hire of thirty Negroes engaged in unloading Coal Cars {from the Alabama & Tennessee River RR} and loading Steamer Dixie from March 16th to March 20th 18664 Rations furnished by owner    
  30 Negroes four days @ $2.00 pr day 240 00
  For Hire of twenty Negroes employed in loading Steamer Dixie with coal on the 20th of March 1864. Rations furnished by Govt.    
  20 Negroes one day at $1 pr day 20 00
    $260 00
 
   I certify that the above account is correct and just; that the services were rendered as stated, and that they were necessary for the public service.

   Received at Selma, Ala the 22nd day of March 1864 of Major S. Hillyer, Quartermaster, C. S. Army, the sum of Two hundred and sixty Dollars and --- Cents, in full of the above account.
