| Genl Johnston has just sent to
president Bocock the following extract from a dispatch received by him
from the Secty of War. The president of the Demopolis railroad can buy
reasonable supplies for those employed and they will be under the law
exempt from impressment. I trust under this interpretation of the Law,
you will feel warranted to release our Sugar. Please answer. |
