| OOn the 27th October Maj
Dameron Commissary for State Miss at Meridian, seized 26 Hhds Sugar
belonging to this company. It was our main dependence to exchange for
supplies for our hands. Genl Johnston says he would release it if he had
the power, and refers us to you. The president knows our situation. We
cannot complete or operate our Road if our supplies an allowed to be
seized. |
