| In reply to your letter in regard to the
sale of 5 1/3 miles of RRd iron, now lying near Pensacola
{Alabama & Florida (of Florida) RR}, I was
instructed by the Prest of our Co. to offer you One Hundred Dollars
per ton for the iron where it now lays or one hundred & twenty
five dollars per ton at the present terminal of your Road. |
| I have not yet ascertained the price we
will be able to offer you with in European Exchange or in Alabama
State bonds. |
