Sir,
I wrote to you on Feby 18th requesting you to remit to Lieut Chas. Selden M. S. K. at this Armory $200 by So. Express in payment for the keg of nails lost in transit by your company as stated in your letter to me of the 12th inst.
This amount has not been received nor any advice of its remittance. As our accounts have to be closed up I beg that you will remit at once.
Remit in either 5.00 bills or the new currency, as you have delayed sending until the time is past when Govt. officers are authorized to receive the old currency.
Respectfully your obdt servt
Jas. H. Burton
Supt.
