Mr Jas. F. Dever
Van West
Polk Co. Ga.

Sir,
As no slate have been received for the service of this Armory for a long time (at least four months) and the extension of details have been regularly made on your requisitions, and powder supplied. I beg to request that you will report to me without delay the number of slate you have now on hand for this Armory, and for the Laboratory. Captain J. M. Hottle Q. M. in charge of Transpn at Atlanta has been instructed from Richmond to furnish the requisite transpn at Cartersville {Western & Atlantic RR} and he has notified me that it would be supplied when required. I beg to refer you to my letter of the 11th inst on the subject of transpn and think that if you were to make the requisite efforts the cars would be supplied.
Respectfully, Your Obdt Servt
Jas. H. Burton
