| This place having been made the hospital for the sick
soldiers from Manassas, and there being a very large number of them
here, it is required by the town authorities and the physicians of the
hospitals to use a quantity of lime about the hospital and the town for
the preservation of the health of the soldiers. I request you to have
left at Fishersville Augusta County two freight cars to bring some lime
for the use of the hospitals by the soldiers. Mr Miner the agent of the
VC R Road has sent an order to Fishersville for two cars when left
thence to be loaded with lime for this place. |
