| Dear Sir, |
| We propose to exchange with you the new
Rails we have lying on your Road, estimated between Seven & Eight
hundred Tons or any portion thereof, for a similar quantity of old
Rails, Flats & all taken from your Road, charging you a difference
of Ten dollars per ton, receiving the old Rails at your Depot on this
side of the River. |
| We have never exchanged heretofore at less
difference than $20 per ton. |
