| Dear Sir, |
| We have your dispatch of last tuedays
date, and in reply state that we are about resuming the manufacture of
wheels, axles, and will be prepared to ??? your order as
heretofore. We dont manufacture Springs. There is a large
Manufacturing Establishment for making Rubber Springs here, but the proprietors
left for the North when these troubles commenced & have not since
returned. We hope that some other parties may again commence
Manufacturing soon. |
| We are not prepared to manufacture either
chilled or wrought iron tires at present but expect, soon to be ready
to make the former, which are considered by many as equal to the
wrought Iron. |
| We have need the order from the Machinery
Department for Bar iron which we are making. |
