Dear Sir, |
We received your dispatch this morning and
believed that we could forward the Spikes at once, but we have none 6
inches under the head, but 6 inches over all -- the usual length. If
necessary we can make them longer by getting up new dies. We will make
the balance of the Chairs for you as soon as possible, but please bear
in mind that our whole establishment is under the Control of the
Confederacy. You may count however that all shall be done possible to
serve you. We are making extensions that will aid us very
much. |
Very respectfully |
